Brown Law Office, LLC is pleased to announce that Troy S. Brown has been elected a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation (ABF). Membership in the Fellows is limited to one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction. Members are nominated by their peers and selected by the ABF Board.
The ABF Fellows is a global honorary society that recognizes attorneys, judges, law faculty, and legal scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the highest principles of the legal profession and to the welfare of their communities. ABF Fellows hail from nearly 40 countries and hold a wide variety of influential roles. Notable Fellows include the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsberg, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court Sonia Sotomayor, Chief Justice of the United States John Roberts, and former United States Secretary of State Hilary Rodham Clinton.
Brown Law Office, LLC is a boutique law firm that represents individuals and small to medium size companies including major financial institutions and franchisors, in a wide array of complex commercial transaction and litigation matters, alternative dispute resolution, and estate planning matters. In his transactional practice, Brown assists his corporate clients in corporate ethics & governance matters, regulatory compliance, as well as acquisitions & mergers. In his litigation practice, Brown regularly represents individuals and companies in state and federal courts involving matters ranging from intellectual property disputes to commercial matters involving a variety of consumer protection laws. Brown is also a non-public arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
With more than 15 years of litigation experience, Mr. Brown is an active and recognized academic and practitioner. Before, creating Brown Law Office, LLC, Mr. Brown was Of Counsel in Arnall Golden Gregory LLP’s Litigation and Government Investigations practices in Washington, DC, was an attorney in the Asset Management Unit of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and a former legal ethics associate law professor at Michigan State University College of Law and a former visiting professor at Vytautas Magnus University Law School in Lithuania.
Mr. Brown serves as the co-chair of mentoring for Harvard Law School Alumni Association of DC (District of Columbia). Brown was selected as one of the “Lawyers of Distinction” in 2021 and selected to join The National Black Lawyers “Top 100” in 2020.
Mr. Brown is also a proud and active member of the US Conceal and Carry Association (USCCA).
